Donation Process

 

The entire donation process requires just 5 simple steps and takes approximately an hour. The actual blood draw is usually less than 10 minutes. The rest of your time is spent in reception, in the donor history and the post-donation refreshment area.

When you arrive, you will be greeted and registered and then a brief medical history will be taken. Your pulse, blood pressure and iron level will be checked. You will then be settled into a comfortable chair where a trained and certified phlebotomist will draw your blood.

After the donation, you will be asked to enjoy some refreshments in the canteen for 15 minutes. This is required by the state California.  Once you’ve received your drinks and snacks, you can go to our kiosk and redeem your points for any of the many options made possible by our partners.

When you visit one of our collection sites you will need to register at the front desk.

You will then be asked to complete a medical history.
The donation process itself takes about 10 minutes.
You will then want to refresh yourself with a snack at our canteen.
With your unique key-tag, you can redeem earned points at our kiosks.
